Lloyd is one of the select mediators licensed as a marriage and family therapist. He was in private practice as an attorney in California for 10 years. His practice concentrated in civil, business, family, medical malpractice, and entertainment law. Prior to practicing law in California, Lloyd was in private practice in Massachusetts from 1988 to 1990. Since 2001, Lloyd has been a mediator in private practice and has also served on numerous mediation panels. Additionally, since 2001, Lloyd has also provided individual and group counseling to emotionally disturbed, learning disabled, developmentally delayed, and abused children and their families. Lloyd is an advocate for children's rights and serves on the Advisory Board of Directors of Project Cuddle, a non-profit organization, which helps provide for the future of unwanted, abandoned, and drug-exposed babies.

As a mediator, Lloyd successfully facilitated settlement in the first case mediated in the State of California brought under the Consumer Arbitration Program for Recreational Vehicles. Lloyd combines his unique experience as both a former attorney and a licensed marriage and family therapist to achieve a result that satisfies each party's needs. Trained in both facilitative and evaluative methods, Lloyd adapts to the style best suited to the matter being mediated. He works collaboratively and creatively with the parties and their counsel (if applicable) throughout the mediation process to explore new approaches in an effort to reach an amicable solution.
